One-way broadcasts are rarely enough now. Organisers expect remote viewers to matter as much as the room. Four technical shifts stand out on site:

• Real-time Q&A and polling keyed into the switcher — audience feeds are keyed directly into the vision switcher as automated lower-thirds, putting replies on screen within seconds.
• DMX-controlled lighting calibrated for camera sensors — stage fixtures are balanced against camera sensor color curves rather than just the human eye, preventing washed-out skin tones and heavy backlight silhouetting.
• Dedicated hybrid feed splits — switcher outputs are split cleanly: one low-latency program feed for room projectors, and a dedicated layout with split-screen slides and speaker framing for Zoom or YouTube.
• Multi-bus audio mixing — in-room sound and the online broadcast run on separate mixer buses, eliminating acoustic hall echo from the stream.
